I'm Carolina Barksdale, Associate Broker with Lacaze
Meredith Real Estate, based in St. Michaels.
The
heart of my job as a real estate agent is to provide
honest, accurate and timely information to you. I take
the responsibility of acting as a "counselor and
adviser" very seriously. Whether you are a buyer
or seller, it is important for you to have the advantage
of making an informed decision. In addition to
giving
you all of the necessary tools to make that decision,
I guide you through the entire home buying or selling
process, always with your interests as my priority.

lofty but I mean it.
I
am originally from Germany, am the daughter of a doctor
and entrepreneur and have four sisters! Most of my childhood
was spent in the northern part of Bavaria and I earned
degrees in Business, Management and Marketing from IHK
in Bamberg, Germany. I came to the states in 1991.
After
a successful career as a journalist and managing editor
of an international trade magazine, I moved to Naples,
Florida and started a consulting firm. It was here I
entered into the real estate field. I also co-operated
an import/export firm with my husband for 10 years,
which we sold in 2003. I then returned to what I like
best, selling real estate full time. I have lived on
the Eastern Shore of Maryland since 1998 and live in
St. Michaels, MD with my husband and son. We live in
a fabulously charming 100+ year old house, which we
are constantly renovating.
My
favorite thing to do other than selling real
estate, is cooking. Also anything related to cooking
- Collecting and reading cookbooks, vegetable gardening
(grow your own), researching and playing with kitchen
gadgets, sampling different cuisine from around the
world, learning about the cultural background of foods,
food history, and of course, eating!
I
actively participate as a member of the Rotary Club
of St. Michaels and served on the Board of Directors
for two terms. Member of the St. Michaels Business Association,
National Association of Realtors, Maryland Association
of Realtors and Midshore Board of Realtors. Chairman
of the St. Michaels Nature Trail Project, a joint project
of the Rotary Club of St. Michaels, the town of St.
Michaels and Environmental Concern Inc. since 2002.
